Employment Specialists provide a variety of services to assist the potential employee to achieve success. They serve as a liaison between the employee and employer; support the employer with education/information to achieve successful integration into the work environment; provide employer an understanding of SES roles to achieve a smooth transition for the new employee into their workforce; provision of Vocational Assistive Tech Specialist to accommodate and/or overcome any worksite structural and physical employment barriers. Employment Specialists assess any advance training to support the needs and interests of individuals who desire positions with technical skill requirements, etc.

Services are provided to area school district transition programs to assist in determining skills critical for transition from high school into employment upon graduation. Some students may be integrated into the Project Search program beginning in the fall of 2011.

Vocational Assistive Technology Specialist has the skills to assess and determine the needs of the employee to successfully meet the job requirements with the appropriate adaptation of work area, specialized equipment, and other issues that could limit productivity.

Job Coaches support employment success. Their support assists individuals with diverse disabilities on the work site with one-on-on training reflecting employees job description. The training includes, safety, industry standards of performance, sets employment goals consistent with employer and employee, job retention services, and serves as liaison with employer to assure quality and productivity.
